Carbon dioxide concentration sensor CSCD-3i is a stationary device for measuring methane content in explosion hazard areas in underground coal mines. Mainly it cooperates with telemetric central station CST-40(A) in transmission data area.
Carbon dioxide concentration sensor CSCD-3i provides a measurement range from 0 to 5% CO2. It has two (UW) outputs to control devices which cut-off energy supply when alarm thresholds are exceeded and two two-stage inputs to control the status of contacts and lines of connected devices. Its autonomous power supply (battery) supplies the methane sensor system when the supply line is disconnected. The communication with the CSCD-3i sensor is carried out by means of digital transmission through the feeder-measurement line of the central station and through the type KR-2 calibrator. The sensor displays the current value of carbon dioxide concentration measurement.
The CSCD-3i sensor is a device of M1 category and may thus be used in all underground mines with possible methane or coal dust explosion hazard.
