Measurements may also be carried out in mine faces, close to loaded explosion material in blast holes. The device has two measurement ranges, 00.00-99.99Ω and 100.0-1999.9Ω and, therefore, may measure any blasting network with electric detonators.

Blasting ohmmeter type OSH-1 may be used in all underground and strip mines. The ohmmeter has a high-quality plastic casing. It does not have a power switch or change of range switch. The switching-on and change of measurement range is done automatically. Each time before it is given out, a check of its measurement current is required. The measurement current is checked by means of OSH-1T tester. The ohmmeter and the tester are subject to detailed periodic control at the manufacturer’s or at the “GIG KD Barbara” Test Mine.

The ohmmeter has Technical Opinion No. 02/05 of 12.07.2005r which granted it the mark KDB05EXP-D01 in accordance with Directive 93/15/EEC (EXP) and meets all requirements of the standard: PN EN 13763-26: 2005 for blasting equipment. It also has type EU Test Certificate No. KDB05ATEX093 according to Directive 94/9/EU (ATEX) and meets all requirements of the standards: PN EN 50014: 2004, PN EN 50020: 2005.
