Calibrator KR-2 is a portable microprocessor device designed for carrying out tests and measurements of devices operating in explosion hazard areas in underground coal mines. It is mainly used to cooperate with gas detection devices, e.g., CSM-1, CSHT-1, CSCO-1, CSCO-2, CSO-2, CSPA-2, CSM-3, CSM-3i and CSCD-3i. The calibrator communicates with such devices via radio waves or by cable.
Upon operator’s order, it automatically searches for a device with compatible radio system and establishes connection with it. Using the keyboard and having chosen the relevant function on the LED display, one may read the data from a selected device. The data include, among other things, type serial number of the device, its working mode and metrological values. The data sent from the calibrator to the device may, for example, inform about the concentration of the standard gas. During the operation of the calibrator one can control the condition of the batteries, the LCD display, the keyboard and check if the radio transmission is correct.
